Special Newsletter from the Board of Trustees

Charles OliverDear Parents, Whānau and Students,

Last week our principal, Mr Charles Oliver, presented his resignation to the Board, indicating his intention to retire at the end of term 2 this year.

Mr Oliver began his teaching career at this school 45 years ago and after an interesting and diverse career in education, he became principal here in 2001. Over the last 18 years, his professional expertise and leadership have developed and strengthened this school and his impact cannot be underestimated. We thank him profoundly for his years of service to our school community and wish him all the very best for his retirement.

The board has started the process of finding a new principal who will develop our vision for educational excellence and a strong learning community.

As part of this process, we welcome your feedback regarding what you would like to see in our new principal. Please feel free to write us a letter, make some notes on the back of this notice and return it to the school office or complete our online survey.
